Dreamwork download3/2/2024 ![]() When given the chance to capture the moment, Work did. The dream was on the line in many respects. Some of those sunny days have involved football camps and attempts to catch the evaluation eye of the Mississippi State staff. Work has spent countless days on the Mississippi State campus. "He showed me a lot of new things that can help me. "It was great," Work said of working with Friend. The camp experience was not just about getting to know each other better, but an opportunity for Work to sharpen the saw in preparation for his next season of football. Prior to formalizing his commitment to Mississippi State, Work had the chance to work under the direction of Friend as part of the Big Dawg Camp. ![]() I feel like we have a good relationship." We have just sort of built from there and he has told me a lot of good things. I went down to a spring practice and I feel like the relationship really started there. "I had a good relationship with Coach Miller and then Coach Friend came in. "I've had this dream since I was little, so I had to get it done," Work said of his verbal pledge. He is officially a Mississippi State commitment. After a formal sit down last evening, Work's dream has been realized. Friend of course had a running start due to Work's allegiance to Mississippi State. Work had to begin building some new relationships, but State offensive tackle and tight ends coach Will Friend went to work. Before Work was ready to make a decision, the entire Mississippi State offensive staff was changed over. In time, the offers began showing up, including one from his beloved Bulldogs.Ĭoach Mason Miller extended the scholarship opportunity. The talented offensive tackle prospect worked hard and proved his mettle. It was simply a matter of would Work have the talent. His school of choice was never truly in destination. ![]() Growing up attending and watching games, Work dreamed of one day wearing the maroon and white on the college level. Luke Work was born a Mississippi State Bulldog. ![]()
